Pain in NH NO JOKE

Pain Care.  No JOKE if you need it. but the way some Doctors treat you, a person might as well suffer....it's better than paying lots of money in appointments, only to continue suffering. And if you do get medical help, they prescribe placebo in place of anything that will relive much more than a common headache. I have left the Doctors office felling worse than when I walked in.
Integrated Pain Care in Bedford NH was referred to me by my Medical coverage. Initially they told me they were not prepared to handle the level of care and pain management I required. We decided to "Give it a try", since they were local at the time. Shortly after that they packed up the local office and had me driving further than I am comfortable driving, with monthly visits. It was clear they didn't really want me as a patient so Josh Dion began having me piss in a cup. I never was asked to do that anywhere else I was seen. I don't use any illegal drugs so I thought nothing of it, I am in too much pain to "Party". But when my piss sample came back showing....'Metabolites consistent with cocaine use", well, I nearly fell out of my wheelchair. I asked to be retested as it was clearly a mistake, but they immediately dropped me with only one months supply of medications (which were barely working for me), and no referral. I did suffer a short term without pain medication but the withdrawal was nothing compared to the increased pain levels I had to deal with.
I did a little looking around and found a highly recommend pain management Doctor named Kristen Harden. Even a patient in the waiting room at Integrated Pain Management knew of stating she, "....didn't like Integrated Pain Management (either), she had Doctor Harden before and was very pleased with her". Reinforcing what I had previously heard form other major pain patients.
I been with Doctor Harden, now Doctor Khanna for over four years and couldn't be happier. My pain is not gone, but at least now I have something to fight it back with. Yes, I did have a pain attack that lasted over 13hrs. But as I said, my level of pain care is not ordinary...as if anyone's is, and Doctor Khanna understands that. Oh, I have not had any questionable urine tests since that one time. So, if your tired of being treated as a billing address, I would recommend trying Total Pain and Wellness in Salem NH. It's worth the ride form anywhere.
Medical Marijuana is still not legalized, decriminalized, or approved for medical use in NH yet, but it's just a matter of time, and yes, I think it might be helpful for some medical conditions.
That's it from this end, have yourselves a great pain-free day!

First blog of 2013,
we all been busy with the great shape the country is in...seems everyone has problems. I know a 72 yr old woman who is disabled and still, evicted from her own trailer bought and paid in full by her...she rents the lot...and the landlord evicted her from the lot. Of course he waited till January when it was coldest to do it. He's such a prick, he even threatened with a restraining order. (Very dangerous 72 yr old woman) He claimed she didn't pay her lot rent, but when she went to pay it, he refused to accept the money, he'd say, "I (He) Just wanted her out!". Oh he had a bunch of vague reasons accumulated over the ten or so years he owned the park (Read: Slum), but she's lived there for over twenty years with never a problem. NEVER
All she had to do was be his friend...But since when is a landlord automatically your friend? Kissing ass does get you places, and how you live with yourself doing it is really your own business. But like her, I could never kiss ass. So, she's homeless, and the electric company, phone company and tax man, will not stop sending bills. or shutting off the service,  to the trailer she no longer owns.
NHLA is a JOKE, They did not even show up to her court hearing. But they sure as hell sent a bill!
Arthur Cook owns Cooks Trailer Park, and I would NOT recommend living there ever. I would rather be homeless. He is a mean hearted person. I pray for him everyday. It is not easy to pray for someone so evil, and heartless. But I do my best.
But hey, we all got problems. I know of a few people that got a "Pink Slip" for Christmas... what perfect timing, Such a gift.
Mean while I am still looking to get a roll in shower for me and my wheelchair. Medicaid will pay for lots of Hospital bills when I fall and break an arm, but for half that, I could have a roll in shower. Nope. Not going to happen, BUT they will pay $50+ a month for Life alert...the, "I've fallen and i can't get up" thing. Better fall with in earshot, (OR NOT in the bathroom with the shower running) cause they won't hear you.
The best part is how many people get a slice of that medicaid dollar. Many you will never even see or meet, But they will tell you they can't pay for things you need. But will pay above and beyond MSRP on a wheelchair.
Say a wheelchair list price is $3200 (That's a cheap one) and you can actually by it new, wholesale for $2k.... why in hell does medicaid, (Care) pay almost $5,000 for the same chair?
WHO pays more than MSRP? No one in their right mind...but we are talking about the Government now so, Go figure.
This might be interesting. DRC, disabilities Rights Center, claims, in their mission statement, "To advocate for the Disabled". If you call them and tell them your problems getting help or services because you are disabled... they will tell you, "They don't do that".
as far as disability help goes, they are there for the employers, and for ADA compliance. That might help if you have trouble getting into a Government building. But more often, not. So many places are exempt from making their place accessible. really, it's true. They will not even help you make your place accessible. They rather pay to place you in a nursing home....where you would be safe. (Living dead)
I still need a wheelchair shower.
Or, I will just keep taking my bumps and lumps.....till the landlord "Wants me out"
Even the tenants rights association is of no help/ Yet all these agencies are Government funded. They all get a raise. and funds get cut.
If you're not there yet, (Need Government assistance) You better die first. They can help you with that . a little.
all in all, this should be a really interesting year. as long as we all stay heathy (H3N2) and pay our bills (TAXES) we should all be just FINE (Fucked Up Insecure Neurotic & Emotional) FINE.
